We are a fanzine dedicated to the Netflix Series "Squid Game." All works within the zine will be 100% unofficial, and will contain artwork and writing based off of the series.We hope to create a physical, for-charity A5 Zine with ~50 Pages in length with accompanying merchandise. An Introduction to the Series and the topics relevant.
This section will include metacommentary as its main feature, dissecting the series and the meanings behind it, as well as explaining and adding real life context.2. Art & Fiction related to the canonical events in the show:
This section will cover the show's scenes within fanwork such as short prose and artwork. The merchandise that this zine will come with will also fall underneath this category or the 3rd category, which is the "Happier Ending" section which is slightly canon divergent.This section will NOT include shipping.3. Canon Divergence / "Happier" Ending
This section will explore alternate endings which could've happened within the plot. This includes, but certainly is not limited to the following:
- What if Saebyeok won and managed to have a "Mojito Night" with Jiyeong? (Please note that this can be either platonic or romantic, depending on what is confirmed to be allowed.)
- What if the majority voted out, and the games concluded permenantly? etc.This section HAS THE CHANCE to include shipping, however this is TBC after the Moderating team make their final decision.Please also be aware that explicit sexual content in tems of ships is BANNED from the zine, as it would be disrespectful and would detract way from the main themes of the show, regardless of the section it occurs within.These section divisons are not at all confirmed, and the zine is awaiting final adjustments post-interest check. We aren't overly keen on capitalising on merchandise options or multiple packages, as it would detract further from the show's meaning, which we would like to honour as much as possible.Will I be given a full bundle as compensation?We aim to give all contributors the full bundle of the zine should sales allow.
